 On 19 Apr at approx 2:30 pm Bap is to appear at the reopening of the Good Vibrations Record Shop at the invitation of owner Terri Hooley, subject of the 2013 BAFTA nominated movie Good Vibrations
This message was posted by Terri Hooley - I have not always got on with my my music hero's like Bobby Dylan or John Lennon but it give's great pleasure to announce that one of my Belfast hero's is going to play in Good Vibrations Shop for my Anti Record Label day on Sat 19th April. No its not Van but the legendary Bap Kennedy and i am so excited that he might even play a few Hank Williams song for me. This is the best news i have had all year as we are going to have a brilliant day in the shop with bands like the Groundlings and Monkeyman and fantastic djs like Ali P and Johnny McKee plus you will never know who will turn up on the day. Ten years ago we were burnt out of North Street Arcade and we lost everything but Good Vibes against all odds is still going, And Bap is the iceing on the cake for me as a young kid on Good Vibes label he went on to record 9 solo albums he is the spirit of Good Vibrations.
